Serve as a point-of-contact for workplace services by providing quality customer service, understanding employees needs, finding solutions, and collaborate with stakeholders to improve the overall employee experience. Collaborate with Asia-Pacific (APAC) Workplace Services, Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS) partners, IT, People Operations, and Finance for seamless regional integration, fiscal responsibility, and new program implementation. Lead insourced and outsourced teams in building operations (e.g., repairs, maintenance, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), janitorial) and essential site services including reception, mail, moves, and occupancy planning. Contribute to Google's culture by overseeing vendor operations, manage projects, collaborate with clients through ambiguity, and ensure compliance with environmental and government regulations. Location: Klebosol Plant at Jade Park in Kaohsiung Your Role:As the Maintenance TeamLeader for the Klebosol plant, you will oversee multiple equipment systems to ensure the successful startup of the new factory in alignment with the Dragon project schedule. You will implement a comprehensive maintenance management system, focusing on both process equipment and facility/utility system, while directly leading and developing the maintenance team Key Responsibilities:1. Klebosol Plant Maintenance Development • Familiar with the process equipment and facility/utility, including ion exchanger, reaction, pump, utility system to support product transferring from LM, France MT, US. • Develop a comprehensive strategy for managing multiple equipment tools to ensure timely factory startup in alignment with overall project milestones. • Lead the maintenance team in implementing and executing the maintenance management system across the entire plant, including critical spare parts inventory strategy, preventive maintenance (PM) planning, troubleshooting procedures, establishment of performance metrics and KPIs. 2. Maintenance Engineering Focus • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability performance stability and system availability. • Establish and maintain comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure all maintenance activities are executed safely, efficiently, and within the planned schedule.3. Root Cause Analysis • Conduct thorough investigations into deviations, failures, or performance shifts across all production shifts, leveraging metrics to identify corrective actions and improvement opportunities.• Develop and enhance the equipment risk assessment techniques to prioritize resource management effectively, leading risk assessment as necessary. 4. Workplace Safety Health Promotion• Ensure full compliance with external regulatory standards and internal environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements.Collaboration:You will interface with:• Managers and employees at the Klebosol plant in Taiwan, US and France• Project team members, including the Jade Engineering and Operations teams.• Cross-functional teams within Merck.• Procurement teams, vendors and suppliers related to engineering tasks.Who you are:• Education: Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, or a related engineering/science fields.• Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, with a preference for candidates who have worked in the chemical industry, and 3 years of people management experience.• Skills: Experience with maintenance and optimization of mechanical systems in chemical manufacturing. Familiarity with equipment reliability and mechanical integrity in chemical plants. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.• Language Proficiency: English is required for effective communication, enabling discussions with cross function team at our other plants and technical leaders in the US and France.Preferred Qualifications:• Experience in equipment technology or scaling manufacturing processes.
