[Chin Hin] Mechanical Fitter

Job Summary
Responsible for performing installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment and machinery to ensure smooth and reliable plant operations. The Mechanical Fitter supports preventive and corrective maintenance activities, troubleshoots mechanical failures, and ensures equipment is operating safely and efficiently.

Job Responsibilities
Perform installation, alignment, and fitting of mechanical equipment and machinery.
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, valves, and hydraulic systems.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical faults to minimize equipment downtime.
Dismantle, repair, and reassemble mechanical components and equipment.
Conduct routine inspection and servicing of machinery and mechanical systems.
Support plant shutdown maintenance and equipment overhaul activities.
Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and safety procedures during maintenance work.
Assist engineers and supervisors in maintenance and improvement projects.
Maintain maintenance records and report equipment issues to the supervisor.

Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related technical field.
Minimum 2–3 years of working experience in mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Knowledge of mechanical systems such as pumps, bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, and hydraulic systems.
Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings.
Skilled in the use of mechanical tools and maintenance equipment.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good discipline and commitment to workplace safety.
Willing to work ad hoc hours and be on call when required to support plant operations
