The role:

This is a full-time remote role for Business Development Manager – Taiwan & Hongkong Market. The role will involve promoting and selling ELSA’s B2B offerings and services in Taiwan & Hongkong. The Business Development will work closely with the sales team and conduct market research, identify and generate new business leads, negotiate and close deals, and meet sales targets.

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify key trends, competitor landscape, and potential opportunities in the education technology sector in TW & HK.
  • Formulate short-term and long-term goals, outlining specific milestones and success metrics.
  • Identify and establish strategic partnerships with local educational institutions, government bodies, and key stakeholders to enhance market penetration.
  • Develop a robust pipeline of opportunities with potential B2B clients (companies, schools, English center) in Taiwan & Hong Kong, through traditional approaches (such as cold/warm calls and emails, networking) and creative marketing campaigns (in collaboration with marketing team) to drive revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with product team and customer support team to deliver customized product solutions and satisfactory services.
  • Regularly track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development and market expansion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of experience in sales, account management, or business development, preferably in a similar industry
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or marketing, with a focus on the EdTech sector.
  • Able to develop and execute sales strategies with a strong customer focus
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and generate new business leads, negotiate deals and close sales
  • Experience in developing and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers
  • Strong understanding of the Taiwan & Hongkong education landscape.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in Traditional Chinese and proficiency in English (Vietnamese is a plus!)
