Job Description

COMPANY PROFILE: Executive recruitment specialist company - CakeResume is recruiting on behalf of a leading Swiss-founded IT outsourcing firm providing global software solutions. They are looking for a remote-working Business Development Manager (French-speaking) to join the expanding sales team in Africa, focusing on the French and European markets. The role is expected to be a key member of Global Sales expansion and will report directly to the Management of the Company in the UK.

Location: Africa (Remote)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation and client engagement to sales negotiation and closing deals.
  • Drive new business revenue by networking, establishing new contacts, and identifying emerging market opportunities.
  • Lead the creation of all sales-related documentation, ensuring accuracy, commercial viability, timeliness, and high quality.
  • Manage and grow revenue from existing accounts through effective account management.
  • Accurately manage and report on sales forecasting and pipeline activities, providing regular updates on progress against development plans, sales pipelines, and conversion rates.
  • Promote our brand by attending industry events to enhance our profile and reputation.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in developing and executing successful sales processes, particularly within IT Outsourcing, Nearshore/Offshore Software Development Services.
  • Demonstrated success in selling software solutions to new accounts.
  • Expertise in proposal, bid, and tender writing.
  • Strong experience in building relationships with C-level executives, especially CIOs, CDOs, and other Digital Transformation leaders.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of the software development lifecycle and testing processes.

Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from recognized colleges and institutions.

  • 5 years+ of relevant experience in business strategy, marketing, and operations-related work with a consistent track record of building/scaling a B2C business or online community.

  • Product experience: proven positive impact on user onboarding, conversion, growth, or engagement metrics.

  • Experience in quant or finance domains/industries would be a plus.

  • Ability to work independently and as an integral member of the team.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and prioritize in a fast-paced and multifaceted environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
