Role Summary

We are looking for a Junior Backend Engineer to join our backend team.

You will help build backend services and orchestration logic for a cloud platform, working closely with Tech Leads and infrastructure engineers.

Responsibilities

Backend Development

• Implement backend services and APIs
• Work on orchestration logic for cloud resources
• Integrate with:
  • Kubernetes / Rancher
  • OpenStack / infrastructure services

API & System Design

• Develop RESTful APIs
• Follow contract-first API design (Swagger/OpenAPI)
• Ensure API correctness and consistency

Debugging & Reliability

Debug backend and integration issues

Work with frontend and infra engineers to resolve cross-system problems

Improve system stability and error handling

Collaboration & Development Flow

• Work closely with:
  • Backend Tech Lead
  • Infra engineers
  • Frontend engineers
• Participate in:
  • story refinement
  • sprint development
  • cross-domain feature integration
• Follow our engineering model:
  • PM defines problem
  • Tech Leads define solution
  • Engineers refine and implement collaboratively

L3 On-Call (with Mentorship)

• Participate in weekly L3 rotation
• Responsibilities include:
  • triaging issues
  • debugging APIs
  • escalating when needed

Requirements

Must-have

• 0–3 years backend development experience
• Familiar with at least one backend language:
  • Go (preferred), Python, or Java
• Understanding of:
  • REST APIs
  • HTTP / JSON
• Basic Linux knowledge
• Strong problem-solving mindset

Nice-to-have

• Experience with Kubernetes / Docker
• Familiar with Go (Golang)
• Understanding of cloud-native concepts
• Basic networking knowledge (IP, CIDR)
