Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in data analytics, Trust & Safety, policy, cybersecurity and business strategy.
  • 5 years of experience in fraud and scams investigation, including detection, attribution, and disruption of financial threat actors.
  • 1 year of experience in people management, leading a team.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD.
  • Education in, or experience with, machine learning.
  • Experience in SQL, building dashboards, data collection/transformation, visualization/dashboards, or experience in a scripting/programming language (e.g. Python).
  • Experience working with engineering and product teams to create tools, solutions, or automation to improve user safety.
  • Experience working closely with policy teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) and the ability to influence cross-functionally at various levels.

Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what’s right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. And you take pride in knowing that every day you are working hard to promote trust in Google and ensuring the highest levels of user safety.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Trust and Safety, Ads Fraud, Account Takeover and Scaled Abuse teams in India and oversee talent acquisition, retention, performance management and drive team goals and deliverables. 
  • Drive deep analytics and technical investigations into scaled fraud and account takeover to unearth root causes and advocate for scaled solutions. 
  • Structure multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously by developing plans, gathering and synthesizing relevant data, leading analyses and developing final recommendations.
  • Drive operational excellence including responsive escalation management, partnering with internal and external stakeholders, defining & tracking performance metrics to drive strategic improvement of operations.
  • Advocate for AI and automation efforts ensuring the benefits of AI are strategically integrated into our teams and processes to enhance system wide efficiency and quality. Scale operations throughout the year beyond AI transition.
