Manufacturing- Technical Support Senior Competency Engineer - Linkou

Job Mission

The Senior Competency Engineer is responsible for providing expert technical direction, structured problem-solving leadership, and cross-line integration across YieldStar production lines to ensure high-quality and on-time delivery. The role exists to drive technical decision-making, lead teams through complex disturbances, strengthen troubleshooting capability, and deliver clear technical communication to enable alignment with management team.

Job Description

Technical Leadership & Decision-Making

• Lead technical assessments during Passdown, DRB (Disturbance Review Board), and issue discussion meetings.
• Make informed technical judgments and consolidate conclusions for management team alignment.
• Ensure decisions follow structured analysis, risk evaluation, and operational priorities.

Issue Ownership & Troubleshooting Management

• Own high-impact, recurring, and long-disturbance issues and oversee troubleshooting until resolution.
• Coordinate resources across YieldStar lines to ensure effective and sustainable solutions.
• Identify risks, constraints, and escalation triggers, initiating corrective actions as needed.

Structural Analysis & BKM(Best Known Method) Deployment

• Perform structural analysis to identify systemic gaps.
• Drive development and deployment of BKMs across product lines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, and cross-functional partners to strengthen troubleshooting efficiency.

Technical Coaching & Peer Competence Development

• Provide technical guidance and coaching.
• Mentor peers to strengthen troubleshooting methodology and system/module competence.
• Support Management team as a technical reference and decision-support role.

Operational Alignment & Communication

• Align priorities, progress, risks, and expected outcomes with Management team Leaders and stakeholders.
• Deliver accurate, concise, management-ready technical reports and escalation packages.
• Ensure transparent and professional communication across teams.

Cross-Line Integration & Factory Target Support

• Leverage insights from YieldStar to prevent repeated disturbances.
• Respond quickly to customer feedback and quality notifications.
• Ensure technical decisions align with factory strategy and quality standards.

Education

• Engineering bachelor or above related fields.

Experience

• >5 years in semiconductor; >8 years preferred, or relevant industry experience.

Personal Skills

• Language: Fluent in English speaking and writing (TOEIC 800↑).
• Proactive, eager to learn and share.
• Possess Lean/Kaizen mindset.
• Willing and flexible to take ownership.
• Attentive to detail with strong logical reasoning.
• Open‑minded, high potential to fulfill department growth.

Other Information

• Shift work: 50% Day shift (08:00–17:00)  and 50% in night shift.(16:00~01:00)
• Overtime: Weekend: On call or OT in office monthly base on production request.
• Business trip: Emergency customer on-site support.
