What you’ll be doing:

• Owning the end-to-end development of features and components across Next.js and Shopify projects
• Building and maintaining responsive, dynamic, and visually engaging web applications
• Translating design prototypes into high-quality, production-ready implementations
• Ensuring cross-browser compatibility, performance optimization, and accessibility best practices
• Making sound technical decisions within existing architecture and contributing to incremental improvements
• Identifying risks, edge cases, and tradeoffs early, and communicating them clearly with the team
• Participating in code reviews and contributing to improving code quality and team workflows
• Collaborating cross-functionally with designers, PMs, and other developers to deliver projects efficiently
• Contributing to documentation and maintaining clarity as projects evolve

What we need to see:

• 2–4 years of experience in frontend development with a focus on responsive web applications
• Strong proficiency in React (Next.js preferred) and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and modern frontend best practices
• Experience owning features or components from development to production
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows
• Understanding of performance optimization, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility standards
• Ability to handle edge cases and deliver reliable, production-ready code with minimal oversight
• Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Ability to operate independently within defined systems while knowing when to seek input or escalate

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

• Experience with Next.js in production environments
• Experience with headless CMS platforms like Sanity.io
• Experience with Shopify and Liquid templating
• Familiarity with Shopify app integrations and e-commerce best practices
• Experience working with REST APIs
• Strong attention to detail in UI implementation
• Experience contributing to codebase improvements (refactoring, abstractions)
• Familiarity with tools like Figma, Slack, Notion, or Loom

Our interview process consists of three rounds designed to assess both technical capability and team fit. Candidates will progress step-by-step:

1. On-site interview – We ask candidates to attend the first interview in person to better understand mutual fit
2. Assignment assessment – A take-home task to evaluate your problem-solving and implementation approach
3. Co-founders meeting – Final conversation focused on alignment and long-term growth
