【 About the role 】

Imagine giving your pet a belly rub on your lap at work! Tomofun is a passionate startup full of dreamers and builders who truly believe in making a difference in our pets’ lives through innovation. As Product Manager (Hardware System), you will own the full product lifecycle—from concept and roadmap shaping, through NPI and mass production, to end of life. You’ll be the central connector between Marketing, R&D, Hardware and Software PM, Customer Support, and Legal—driving alignment, resolving dependencies, and ensuring HW/SW integration delivers a seamless and emotionally resonant user experience.

You will transform market research, competitive analysis, and user insights into clear, feasible hardware specifications, while managing ODM partnerships to meet cost, quality, and delivery goals. This is a high-impact, hands-on role for a decisive leader who thrives in fast-moving environments and is passionate about making a difference in the lives of pets and their people.

The ideal candidate must also be a super dog or cat lover!

【What You’ll Do 】

• Shape Product Direction – Develop and present compelling hardware product opportunities to internal stakeholders, supported by market research, competitive analysis, and user insights. Influence the roadmap to align innovation with business strategy.
• Lead Cross-Functional Alignment – Coordinate across Marketing, R&D, Hardware and Software PM, Customer Support, and Supply Chain to ensure complete HW/SW integration before mass production. Resolve dependencies, drive smooth handoffs, and keep leadership informed with data-driven updates.
• Define Hardware Specs – Translate business goals and user insights into clear, feasible hardware specifications that balance technical requirements, cost targets, and timelines.
• Deliver Program Success – Lead sustaining hardware programs to hit delivery and cost targets, while ensuring NPI readiness within four weeks of project greenlight. Oversee ODM performance in design, manufacturing, and quality.
• Integrate Hardware & Software – Own the end-to-end integration between hardware, firmware, app, and cloud systems to deliver a seamless and reliable user experience. Coordinate release schedules, lead system-level validation from a user perspective, and resolve cross-platform issues quickly to ensure product performance, usability, and quality.
• Drive ODM Partnerships – Build and manage ODM relationships to achieve cost, quality, and delivery objectives. Negotiate effectively, communicate proactively, and align partner execution with Tomofun’s vision.

【Who you are】

• 8+ years in hardware program management, ideally in consumer electronics or IoT devices.
• Proven track record managing ODMs and leading cross-functional teams through both sustaining and NPI phases.
• Strong understanding of hardware development, firmware, and software integration processes.
• Skilled in market and competitive analysis, able to translate insights into actionable product strategies.
• Exceptional problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
• Bonus: Pet lover, experience with consumer camera systems, wireless protocols, or IoT ecosystems.
