Director of Finance

About the Role

We are seeking a Director of Finance to serve as the most senior financial leader of our 14-person MedTech startup building the Digital Twin for Healthcare.

You will work directly with the CEO and CSO to shape the company’s commercial DNA, architect complex regional deal structures, and lead our $10M+ Series A and beyond. This is a high-impact, high-intensity leadership role requiring both strategic depth and hands-on execution.

Who You Are

10–15 Years of Experience

• Background in startup financial leadership, investment banking, or corporate finance

• Experience in MedTech, Deep-Tech, or regulated industries preferred

Commercial Operator

• You don’t just report numbers — you influence pricing, margins, and deal structure

SEA Financial Expertise

• Strong understanding of regulatory, tax, and financial nuances in Malaysia, Vietnam, and Thailand

Fundraising Veteran

• Experience leading institutional fundraising rounds

• Comfortable engaging with VCs, PE funds, and strategic investors

Startup DNA

• Comfortable in a high-intensity, high-ownership environment

• Strategic thinker with hands-on execution mindset

What You’ll Do

1. Strategic Business Management & Deal Architecture

• Partner with CEO and CSO to design scalable commercial structures for T1 hospitals and global conglomerates
• Develop pricing strategies across SaaS, licensing, and performance-based models
• Model long-term P&L impact of various contract frameworks
• Provide commercial and margin discipline to business development initiatives
• Ensure deal structures align with scalability and regional expansion strategy

2. Investment Strategy & Capital Markets Leadership

• Lead Series A fundraising ($10M+) and support subsequent financing rounds
• Own investor relations and the company’s equity narrative
• Build and defend advanced valuation models reflecting deep-tech and Digital Twin differentiation
• Architect and manage ESOP structure and cap table optimization
• Balance founder equity, investor returns, and talent retention strategy

3. Regional Financial Reporting & Oversight (SEA)

• Oversee financial reporting across Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and international accounting standards
• Manage multi-currency P&L and real-time runway forecasting
• Establish disciplined yet agile budgeting framework
• Implement financial controls suitable for scaling MedTech operations
