【Position】 【LIGHT SEEKER Intern】AI Tools Developer Intern_Automotive Electronic
【Location】 Kaohsiung or Hsinchu
【Project Name】 AE BD AI tool for automatically generating PCB layout footprints and schematic symbols
【Department Introduction】
The EE2 design team in AE BD is responsible for Schematic & PCB design and verification of automitive camera. We are focusing on the design of diverse cameras such as DMS、OMS、ASC、RSC、 SSC、FSC、Smart cameras and so on. There are various components and technologies be included such as image sensoring and transmission、power architecture and analysis、IR LED driving and so on.

【Goal】
Develop an AI tool that acts as an intelligent assistant to help engineers which functionality is to automatically generate component footprints for PCB layout and schematic symbols based on user-provided component datasheets which format that can be easily imported into EDA tools such as PADS and OrCAD.

【Project Content】
1. AI Tool Development-Develop an AI tool that can analyze the input datasheets and automatically generate footprints and symbols that can be imported into EDA tools.
2. Familiarization with EDA Tools and Basic Operations-Understand the purposes of PADS and OrCAD, and learn basic software operations.
3. Datasheet Study - Read and the analyze datasheets from different types of components to understand component characteristics, and information needed to produce the footprint and symbol.
4. Users feedback Collection - Gather feedback from users and compile a bug list.
5. debugging and improvement - Debug issues and improve the overall user experience.

• 7/10: Learning :
- datasheets & key information.
- AI & AI tools.
- EDA software & file formats.
•7/31
- co-work with the team for tool development.
• 8/7: Tool testing & user feedback gathering & bug listing.
• 8/19: co-work with the team for bug analysis & solving and provide recommendations for improventment.

【Deliverables】

Copilot, Power Automate, Python, Visual Studio Code, OrCAD, PADS

【Major】
major in Electronic/Electrical Engineering with IT backgroud or Computer Science with software design knowledge

【Ability】
• Interest in AI applications, automotive camera technologies, schematic and layout design.
• A foundational understanding of AI is considered a plus.
• Basic Knowledge of PCB drawing , schematic design is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Power Automate, Python, C++, PADS, OrCAD is preferred.
• Communication, problem-solving and good presentation skills to promote work results.
