ABOUT THE ROLE

About the project: Build 1st frontend platform for ANZ X, have an opportunity to develop yourself in frontend development in this very challenging job

As an Engineer you will be responsible for building innovative front-end technology for our end users, using best-of-breed network technologies, and modern software development practices.

The experience engineering team's mission is to provide the best software for customers to help them manage their money and save.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY:

• Leading and coaching engineers in your team to design and implement secure, scalable, and impactful solutions.
• Helping us evolve our web platform. We currently use Next.js 14, managing the projects with Nx. We deploy our code to production using continuous deployment.
• Working at a senior level across the programme team, collaborating with architects, engineers, and customer experience experts.
• Self-organising your own priorities, you will facilitate rapid decision making for the team.
• Shaping how ANZ delivers on their commitment to providing great customer service through technology.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Must have:

• From 5 years of web or application development experience including defining application architecture.
• 2+ years working with ReactJS or NextJS using TypeScript (NextJS preferred)
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles.
• Ability to demonstrate UI design literacy.
• Experience with frontend unit testing and familiarity with testing-library.
• A good understanding of WCAG Accessibility 2.0, Level AA or higher (we do not expect you have experience; intermediate knowledge is okay)
• Working in an agile team environment including relevant tools.
• Good ability in English

Nice to have:

• Ability to demonstrate working within cloud environments such as GCP, AWS or Azure.
• Experience with setting up and working with continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment (CI/CD)
• Familiarity with a type system, or a willingness to learn.
