Job Description

Provides expertise in sustained customer success and growth in the post-sales customer lifecycle through training, professional services, technical support, renewals, outcome attainment, retention, expansion, and customer advocacy with a Digital focus. You will work closely with customers not just to understand, but also to define customer requirements, develop technical proposals, and set expectations for software implementations/upgrades and interface projects. As an individual contributor, you will act as SME for the organization, coordinating and cross-organizationally and independently monitoring project team.

Essential Responsibility :

  • Support the Project Manager (PM), Delivery Manager (DM) and Services Consultant through close coordination for scope management, schedule, risk management, and quality management and change management process.
  • Provide emerging energy industry application expert knowledge and experience to collaborate with the customer to identify technical requirements and estimate the technical effort required to implement complex software solutions.
  • Engage throughout the full lifecycle of assigned projects, influencing decisions on design, and functionality to keep projects on track in terms of budget, time, and customer expectations.
  • Interact with Product Development Team, Commercial Team, Customers, Solution Providers (Partner/Integrators) and other cross-functional teams as required for the solution and implement processes to ensure best use of GE Vernova Digital products and services

Requirements

Required Qualifications (Must)

  • Bachelor’s/Master's degree and 7+ years of experience in full cycle software development e.g. design, building, testing/deployment and implementation phases.
  • 5+ years’ experience with Windows, .NET, SQL or Oracle databases, C++, Java, HL7, Web Services, SOA technologies, or similar programming languages/technologies
  • Industry exposure in DER Management, Transmission, Wide Area Monitoring (WAMS), Distribution Planning, IT, SCADA and other Energy Asset Management.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and Chinese languages.
  • Occasional travel within and outside Taiwan as required.
  • Flexibility to participate in regional call/meeting off working hours

Desired Characteristics

  • Programming experience in software development with Microsoft Visual Studio / Development tools, Eclipse, or C# programming
  • Attending customer, 3rd party partner, GEV internal and product team meeting on or off working hours (ideally within standard working hours).
  • Experience in software analysis, design, quality assurance, architecture, and Agile development methodology
  • Electricity Utility Datacenter integration experience (E.g. SCADA, ADMS, OT, OMS , WAMS, DERMS, etc.)
  • Familiar with MS-Windows Server, Red Hat Linux, Kubernetes, microservices, data stores like Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Kibana, Grafana, kafka
  • Experience with Programming experience in software development with Microsoft Visual Studio / Development tools, Eclipse, C#, and C++ programming
  • Experience in using Virtualization (VMware vSphere, vCenter, vMotion, Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix, etc)
  • Experience in software analysis, design, quality assurance, architecture, and Agile development methodology
  • Experience with project testing such as Factory acceptance test (FAT), Site acceptance test (SAT) and user acceptance test (UAT)
  • Experience with web and other technologies such as HTML 5, Javascript, CSS and JQuery, Perl script, Phyton, strawberry Perl, RDBMS system such as oracle, MS-SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Microsoft Power BI reporting, Tableau, crystal reports, etc
