SAMPLE ROOM MANAGER

COMPANY PROFILE:
Our client, a global leader in sports and outdoor brands, seeks a Sample Room (Bags) Manager for their Vietnam team.

Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the comprehensive establishment and management of the sample room, from initial setup to daily operations.

• Develop and implement strategic plans that align with the company's overarching goals, ensuring effective task execution.

• Streamline the workflow between product development and mass production, guaranteeing the establishment and maintenance of clear product and quality standards.

• Collaborate with the procurement department to identify and evaluate raw material suppliers, prioritizing quality and cost-effectiveness.

• Establish and enforce process standards, labor pricing guidelines, and other management protocols for the sample room to optimize operational efficiency.

• Oversee the evaluation, review, and positioning of sample versions, and define foundational standards for sample designs.

• Conduct quality audits of the sample room's output to ensure adherence to standards, assuming full management responsibility for its operations.

• Minimum 8 years of experience in sample room management within the luggage and bag industry.

• In-depth knowledge of the luggage and bag industry.

• Ability to interpret diverse client technical specifications and a thorough understanding of the entire process from pattern design to sewing.

• Strong risk assessment and forecasting skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate product risks during development.

• Proficiency in pattern-making software (e.g., ET-BAG, OPTITEX) and common office tools (e.g., Excel).

• Positive attitude, diligence, detail-oriented, responsible, and a quick learner.

• Willingness to travel abroad for work assignments.
