We are hiring a Crypto Risk & Exposure Manager to support our APAC and global expansion, working closely with institutional clients and internal cross-functional teams in a remote-first environment.

Role Overview

As a Crypto Risk & Exposure Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing portfolio-level risk, exposure limits, and capital efficiency across trading activities.

This role ensures that trading performance is sustainable, drawdowns are controlled, and risk is aligned with the firm’s long-term objectives.

You will act as an independent risk function working closely with traders and leadership.

What You’ll Do

  • Monitor portfolio-level exposure, leverage, and correlations

  • Define and enforce risk limits and drawdown thresholds

  • Evaluate risk-adjusted performance across strategies

  • Stress-test positions under different market scenarios

  • Identify concentration and liquidity risks

  • Produce risk reports and escalation recommendations

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in risk management, portfolio management, or trading operations

  • Strong understanding of derivatives risk, leverage, and liquidation mechanics

  • Ability to challenge trading decisions constructively

  • High integrity, discipline, and independence

  • Comfort working with incomplete or fast-changing data

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in institutional trading, market making, or hedge funds

  • Experience with crypto-specific risk factors

  • Strong analytical and quantitative reasoning skills

(Institutional Trading & Risk Team)

At BuckChaf, our hiring process for trading-related roles is structured, selective, and designed to respect candidates’ time.
We focus on real experience, decision-making quality, and risk awareness, rather than volume-based screening.

The entire process typically takes 2–4 weeks, depending on role and availability.

1. We review applications with a focus on:

  • Direct relevance to the role (trading, on-chain analysis, or risk management)
  • Evidence of hands-on experience, not theory-only exposure
  • Clarity around responsibilities, decision-making scope, and outcomes

Candidates without demonstrated practical exposure to markets, data, or risk frameworks may not proceed to the next stage.

2.Role-Specific Written Assessment

(Asynchronous – designed to be time-efficient)

Each role includes a short, role-specific written assessment to evaluate thinking quality before live interviews.

  • Risk scenario analysis
  • Exposure and correlation assessment
  • Decision-making under adverse market conditions


3. Technical / Domain Interview

We will explore:

  • Past decisions and trade-offs you have personally made
  • How you react to changing market regimes
  • Risk management philosophy and discipline
  • Ability to communicate clearly under pressure

This stage is a two-way discussion. Candidates are encouraged to ask detailed questions about capital allocation, risk frameworks, and expectations.

4. Final Interview (Culture & Ownership Fit)

The final stage focuses on long-term alignment:

Ownership mindset and accountability

Ability to work within a professional risk framework

Comfort operating in ambiguity and fast markets

Long-term growth expectations within an institutional team

This interview ensures mutual fit before any final decision is made.
