You will be the engineering point of contact for critical customer escalations, performing deep technical triage on our CollabOS-based video collaboration devices (Rally, Rally Bar, and related products). Beyond reactive support, you will drive proactive improvements, develop proof-of-concept solutions, and contribute to feature development that prevents future issues.This is not recipe-based technical support. You will operate as a full-stack systems engineer, hunting down root causes in kernel logs, network traces, audio pipelines, and video subsystems. In this role you will:Lead and participate in the design, and development of our next generation softwareDebug and resolve system-level issues spanning the full stack: kernel, networking (802.1x, proxy, DNS), HDMI (IN/OUT/CEC), USB, camera, audio, and video streaming subsystems.Work closely with a team of software engineers to translate overall system architecture and product requirements into well-designed and implemented software components.Participate and conduct technical reviews of system design and interface requirements and provide technical feedback and make recommendationsDeveloping and integrating Android software/application architecture for Logitech productsDevelop fixes, workarounds, and patches for identified issues, coordinating with platform teams to ensure proper integration into mainline releases.Serve as the primary engineering escalation point for complex customer issues on Android-based CollabOS devices, performing deep technical triage and root cause analysis.Create diagnostic tools, scripts, and documentation that improve the efficiency of future troubleshooting efforts.Drive proof-of-concept development and feature work as capacity allows, contributing to platform improvements informed by real-world customer feedback.Collaborate with engineering and partner (Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet)  teams to resolve interoperability issues and validate solutions.Build and maintain knowledge bases, and escalation procedures that capture tribal knowledge and enable faster resolution times.Analyze device telemetry and logs to identify patterns, predict issues, and propose systemic improvements.Key Qualifications:For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and experiences to our team:You have 5-8 years of hands-on experience with Android platform development (AOSP or vendor-customized builds - not just app development). You have deep knowledge of Android platform internals: system services (e.g., ConnectivityService, AudioFlinger, SurfaceFlinger), Binder IPC, SELinux policies, and the init system.5 years of strong data structures, algorithms, design, coding, analytical and problem-solving skillYou possess strong proficiency in Java, Kotlin, C, and C, with the ability to read and debug code across system layers.You have broad knowledge across the Android system stack, including kernel, HALs (Camera, Audio, Display), system services, networking, and application frameworks.You are experienced with debugging tools and techniques: logcat, systrace, perfetto, gdb, tcpdump/Wireshark, and similar utilities.You thrive in ambiguous situations with incomplete information, able to form hypotheses, design experiments, and systematically narrow down root causes.You have working knowledge of networking protocols and enterprise networking concepts (802.1x, RADIUS, certificates, proxies, VLANs).You understand video conferencing technologies: codecs, WebRTC, SRTP,  or similar protocols.You communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex issues into clear explanations and actionable recommendations.You are comfortable working directly with enterprise customers and partner engineering teams when needed.Additional Preferred Skills:Experience with any of the following is a plus: Android platform build systems and Gerrit/GitHub workflowsNetwork troubleshooting and protocol analysis (Wireshark, tcpdump, 802.1x)HDMI/CEC or USB debuggingEnterprise device provisioning (Intune, SCEP, certificates)WebRTC troubleshooting.
