QA Engineer
Job Description
We are looking for our first QA Engineer to join the team. This is a 0-to-1 role where you will define how quality is built, measured, and protected across our platform.
As a Fintech product where accuracy directly impacts user assets, we are looking for a QA Engineer who can work independently, identify risks early, and make pragmatic quality decisions while moving at startup speed. We value candidates who are AI-native, using AI responsibly to increase testing depth and efficiency without compromising security.

Key Responsibilities
1. Quality Framework & Strategy (0 → 1)
- Establish QA processes from scratch, including requirement analysis, test planning, test case design, and acceptance criteria.
- Define release quality gates and support go/no-go decisions with clear risk assessments.
2. Risk-Based & End-to-End Testing
- Prioritize testing based on business impact, asset risk, and failure probability.
- Validate end-to-end user flows across services, wallets, and external dependencies.
3. Manual to Automation Evolution
- Perform thorough manual testing in early stages, focusing on core logic and critical paths.
- Design a practical roadmap for test automation as the product and architecture stabilize.
4. Static Testing & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Review PRDs, specs, and designs early with PMs and Developers to identify logical gaps before implementation.
- Communicate quality risks clearly and effectively across teams.
5. Defect & Quality Management
- Own defect tracking, triage, and reporting processes.
- Provide quality insights to support release planning and prioritization.
6. Non-Functional Quality Awareness
- Identify and raise risks related to performance, reliability, and system stability, especially when relying on third-party services.
Requirements
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in Software QA for Web or Mobile products.
- Solid understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and risk-based testing.
- Experience breaking down complex business logic into effective test scenarios.
- Comfortable reading code and testing APIs, even without writing production code.
- Proficient with tools such as Postman, browser DevTools, or similar.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence decisions.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous startup environments.
Nice-to-Have (Bonus)
- Web3 Domain Expertise: Experience validating wallet signature flows, transaction lifecycles (pending/reverted/dropped), RPC edge cases, and ensuring on-chain/off-chain data consistency.
- AI-Assisted Data Generation: Ability to use AI tools or scripts to rapidly generate complex test data (e.g., synthetic wallet addresses, transaction histories) or mock API responses for edge cases.
- "Shadow Automation" Skills: Even without a formal framework, you know how to leverage AI coding assistants (like Cursor, Windsurf and Claude Code) to write quick utility scripts for repetitive tasks or data validation.
- AI-Enhanced Root Cause Analysis: Experience using LLMs to analyze logs or error patterns, providing developers with a preliminary diagnosis rather than just a bug report.
- Security-First AI Practice: Demonstrated understanding of how to sanitize sensitive data (PII, Private Keys) before interacting with AI models.
